Our editorial policy explains how Local Letter researches, writes and updates each letter and application format. We want every reader to trust that a format is clear, polite and correctly structured.

How we choose topics

We publish formats that people in India search for and use in real life: school applications, office letters, bank requests and complaints. We add a new format when readers ask for it or when a common situation lacks a clear sample.

How we write

• Each format starts with the correct structure: sender, date, recipient, subject, salutation, body and closing.
• We write in short, active sentences that state the purpose early.
• We give at least one complete sample and, where useful, several variations.
• For board-exam formats, we follow the current pattern that schools teach.
• Hindi formats are written in Hindi, not machine-translated from English.

How we check

We review each page before it goes live. We check the structure, the tone, the spelling and every date or rule we mention. We do not invent reviews, testimonials or official claims.

Updates and corrections

We review popular formats regularly and update them when practice changes. If you spot an error, please report it through the contact page. We fix confirmed errors quickly.

Independence
